Working with Indigenous Communities

Key Insights has had extensive involvement in a range of Indigenous-based projects throughout the government and non-government sectors.

As a preferred service provide with Indigenous Business Australia (IBA), Key Insights continues its dedication to building the capacity of Indigenous communities and providing support and assistance to both Indigenous communities and organisations.

Key Insights has successfully completed numerous Indigenous-based projects for a range of organisations including:

  • NSW Department of Ageing Disability and Home Care – Primary cross-cultural research into transient Indigenous people with disabilities. Development and implementation across NSW of a Home and Community Care (HACC) service delivery and funding model.
  • NSW Department of Ageing Disability and Home Care – A service capacity review of Home and Community Care (HACC) funded Aboriginal Services in the Hunter and Central Coast.
  • Northern Territory Health –  Evaluation of Commonwealth funding for aged persons and service restructuring in remote Indigenous communities.
  • Australian National University, National Centre for Indigenous Studies – Indigenous Community Capacity to Implement Crime Prevention Strategies‘. A working document for the Attorney General’s Department, with the aim to facilitate, educate, empower and build the capacity of Indigenous communities to reduce and prevent crime.
  • Awabakal Local Aboriginal Land Council – Community Land and Business Plan. A three year organisational and support management tool developed in consultation with the LALC Board, members and stakeholders. A strategic planning document that outlined clear goals, actions and strategies for their operation and success.
  • Coonamble Local Aboriginal Land Council – Community Land and Business Plan. A three year organisational and support management tool developed in consultation with the LALC Board, members and stakeholders. A strategic planning document that outlined clear goals, actions and strategies for their operation and success.
  • Narrabri Local Aboriginal Land Council – Community Land and Business Plan. A three year organisational and support management tool developed in consultation with the LALC Board, members and stakeholders. A strategic planning document that outlined clear goals, actions and strategies for their operation and success.
